You'ld think Davison would have learned a lesson but they're still
doing 'business as usual' -with one exception- they must disclose how many successful inventions they have produced. I wish I had that information before signing up to have them produce a prototype for me. Their success record is abysmal.
Unfortunately, I didn't know about this until after the fact and wish I had read the rip off letters before sending them over $12,000". I paid with credit cards and am still paying them off/. It's been over a year and they want more money to continue?.
Do they build an actual product? Has anyone ever seen the product Davison made for them???? I understand one person did receive something and was shocked, It was not what Davison had been told to do and was inferior..
Has anyone seen proof of it being sent to a corporation???? What could possibly happen to the product in the handling and mailing that would make it necessary for them to have to refinish it and ask you for more money to continue? This is a way for Davison to extort money from those anxious to get their idea into the marketplace". We have no proof of what, if anything, was sent to a corp,.
The pledge they made on the Ripoff site "to resolve all complaints and are committed to give the customer 100% satisfaction", is meaningless and false, as many who have been scammed by Davison already know|. Would like to hear from anyone who has worked for Davison/.

Written by I LOVE DAVISON on March 12, 2010 from washington, pennsylvania, US Hey, it's MY BUSINESS if I want to get up every day at the crack of dawn, hurry out the door, not spend quality time with my kids, sit in rush hour traffic-in August-with the AC broke, suffer from a lack of sleep, so because I do that, if I want to just hand money over to Davison to get nothing in return but my hopes up for 9 months after sending them 15,000, ITS MY BUSINESS. I just want to work hard, sacrifice, pay my student loans late, I WANT TO DO THAT. It's ok. I think the Davison sales guys deserve it. Really, it's ok. I have no problem being another *** listening to a 20-something year old former Cracker Barrel cashier with a 10th grade education from Chattahoochie Georgia that just moved to Pittsburgh & get hired at Davison, and all of a sudden...BAM! He's the Senior Lead Idea Coach. ![]() |
| 3. Written by Marilyn on March 10, 2010 from seattle, washington, US I am SO glad I researched Davison before even sending in my name! My idea is amazing, but I had no idea that they charged for helping get it from concept to product!! That is not mentioned in the sales page. What jerks. Thank you everyone for posting here and letting us be saved from your awful experiences. I hope you get something positive from your efforts. |

Written by Torrey Vaughns on March 10, 2010 from sioux city, iowa, US I was scammed $10,598 by the Davison company.I'm currently filing a lawsuit against these crooks.I don't see why the FTC or FBI has not put these people out of business and locked them up in jail, especially when Davison settled a lawsuit back in 2008 for 10 million dollars.I blame the FTC for this fradulent company as well. |

Written by Dave P on September 28, 2009 from newark, new jersey, US I'm in the middle of this, and im experiencing bad feelings as i have been waiting for over amonth and a half for my virtual product representation of my idea.I gave $563 1st then $1000.00 retainer. Then they sent me an impressive binder full of researched patents with familure traits to my idea, then they were pleased that their talented research and development dept.has ideas to make my idea tech. superior. many phone calls with person assigned to me, very excited to hear from each other with every phone call, then came time to ask about money, this is after the second step, the CONTRACT with option 4..$12985 US.dollars and 10% royalty assinged to davison.with my initials.I mailed it the way they wanted and waited. Soon they said GREAT! we're all ready to go, now we need $6011.00.. first to get the product renduring and the computer design and we'll set you up with the patent application and finally get a working prototype to present and send to show you.I played phone tag for a month after i charged $6011.00 on my credit card. I immediatly suspected somthing wrong when the phone calls were thinning out and the last two calls were the they have their reasearch group in china getting the kinks out ..and that i'll soon have my product rendoring mailed. $7574.00 pd to date and now they want the remainder to insure the completion of the licensing to a prospect company to manufacture this so call idea they haven't shown me. i'm am pissed and i feel inches away from violence, i'm not sure what i'm going to say to this person the next moment he calls to find out weather i scraped up the rest of the money that i would get from my small 401k from my employer the layed me off in aug 12-09.. No one, not even my family knows, i wanted to surprise them. lucky im single with no kids, ive failed myself, and davison was more than happy to help.I feel sorry for those who put their faith and money in davison's hands i realy have a good idea. And it's a little late. or is it? all i know is i should have been able to kink the hose on this deal soon enough i only wish i could have checked them out before i charged my card for $6011.00.... |
| 7. Written by Ex-Davison Sales Guy on September 24, 2009 from pompano beach, florida, US I feel bad for these Davison customers. Why is it that when we leave Davison as employees, we get to thinking how wrong it was what we did to these normal, everyday people with a job, family, bills and responsibilities? We certainly f****d people out of money that's for sure. I feel obligated to post here. Buyer beware. Nuff' said.... |
| 8. Written by Bobby on September 24, 2009 from -, -, US I was also scammed thousands of dollars. I'm still waiting for some answer from someone there. Everytime I speak to someone they tell me that the next contact will take the next phase of my invention. This is a bunch of bull. I haven't heard from anyone and would like proof that they took my invention to a company. I have none. Is there anyway we can get our money back? |
| 9. Written by Ex- Director of New Products on September 17, 2009 from washington, pennsylvania, US As long as there are people who believe in their idea, no matter how imbicile it may be there are going to be companies like Davison out there who (for a fee) will believe in your idea, tell you its a great contribution to mankind, etc, "solving a valid problem" I believe is their correct lingo, right Mr. Crompton? Anyhow, it's terrible what they do to people, but the thought of making lots of financial gain from their idea makes the most rational, successful, educated people giddy with possibilities and clouds their better judgement. You see, this is what we planned on, expected, and took people out for the count financially when we sensed you were right where we wanted you. Psych 101 here folks. For those of you who lost money to Davison, didn't your "Director" give you some "great news regarding a manufacturer" right before he/she hit you with the 60% option? Those salespeople with the highest number of signed suckers/new customers the previous month were given a new BMW 530i to drive for the next 30 days. It was a disgusting display of the most right wing capitalism I have ever seen. I won several monthly sales awards during my tenure there so I know what I am speaking about. I truly feel ashamed to have done this to people, I mean deeply in my heart I knew what I was doing to people, listening to their hopes, dreams & high spirits on the other end of the phone, but in the end I knew I and Davison were the only ones 'winning'. I got a huge commission check at the end of the month, accolades from management and the opportunity for advancement to Sr. Director of New Products (a more polished bullshi**er). So, take heed, read the posts, they are usually all correct. You will have a horrible, nightmarish experience, will NOT recoup any of your funds, will never make a profit. But just think, you can help some 20 something year old drive a new BMW. All you need is a credit card. BGF |
| 10. Written by Ex Inventegrator on September 16, 2009 from pittsburgh, pennsylvania, US To All Serious Inventors, Please do not waste your time with Davison. I am unfortunately a former employee that can tell you first hand how manipulating they really are. From the very beginning they train their "directors" how to prey on the dreams of would be inventors. It almost doesn't matter what the idea involves, they will almost always try to pump you up saying that "you're solving a valid problem" and that they are surprised no one has solved it yet. Directors don't even understand what they are selling until they have worked there for at least a few months the way the training is conducted. Here is the process. First they call and act excited about talking to you about your idea while they try to convince you they understand. Next you get a contract to do research for $695. A few weeks later you get a garbage portfolio with info you could get yourself. Then they tell you they are "aggressively targeting corporations". Next you get a phone call saying (in an excited voice) "we've targeted a manufacturer for your product". Over the next couple weeks they will call gearing up to let you know they want 9-15 grand to create a "product sample". First you give them a $1000 retainer to start, but they really dont do anything but sit around. Next they will say they need to have 60% of the balance to create the design. When thats done you get a cheap 3D picture and some garbage CAD drawings. If you approve it they will say they are now building the product (which you will never see in person and if you want to see it you must go to their office). I can assure you every product I have ever seen come out of there design department has been complete crap. Then they will say they need the remaining 40% balance so they can present the product to the company. Meanwhile all they really do is send that *** virtual picture to them in the mail then may follow up with a phone call. A few weeks later you will receive a call saying the company did not license your product and they need $335 to repackage it so they can present it to another company. THIS IS HOW IT WORKS FOR EVERY IDEA. Also if you come across Greg McKita or Anthony Valkanas hang up immediately. They are scum with no conscience. Ask them how many people have made MORE money on their inventions than they put into it at Davison. The director will stutter and stammer and reply with no good answer. Ask them what percent of Davison's profits come from royalties from licensed products selling in the stores. Again, they will have no good answer. I hope this keeps anyone that reads this away from Davison. |
